SYNOPSIS
In a cabin high on a peak, a storm is brewing when a woman is visited by a traveling button salesman. She brushes off his pitch but he unexpectedly awakens something in her. Turns out she’s interested in more than buttons. This Blue Ridge fantasia features a woman isolated by the restrictions of class and gender.
The Unbuttoning was originally presented by New York Stage and Film and Vassar in the Powerhouse Season, Summer 2019.
