TEACHING ARTIST APPLICATION
Local Theater Company’s (LTC) core educational program is LocalWRITES. LocalWRITES is a standards-based playwriting program offered in English and Spanish to middle school students in the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley School Districts. Over the course of a semester, the LocalWRITES education team—lead, associate, and apprentice educators—integrate into language arts classrooms and teach students how to craft a play that professionals then present in a staged reading.
In fall 2024, an abbreviated version of the LocalWRITES program was offered at the Boulder JCC as part of their Exchange education program.
