WELCOME TO SEASON 11!

Plays evolve. They begin as an idea, an inspiration hastily jotted onto the back of a receipt or a cocktail napkin. Through experimentation, skilled guidance and some sleepless nights, a playwright arrives at a working draft, a script they are ready to share with the world. The writer bravely steps into a workshop, supported by a creative team that includes a director, actors, dramaturges, cultural consultants and designers. The work continues to evolve, moving one step closer to a full production.

Plays are not created alone. That is where Local Theater Company comes in.

For Season 11, we are offering four exciting opportunities for you to engage with new American plays at every stage:

  • FALL LOCAL LAB | December 4-6, 2021 - Enjoy a festival of new American plays from the comfort and safety of your own home or in person. Priority access to in-person presentations will be given to Season 11 Members.

  • WRITING FOR STAGE & SCREEN - Learn from leading industry writers and start creating YOUR story today.

  • SPRING LOCAL LAB | April 22-24, 2022 - Step into the room with leading theater makers for a weekend-long in-person festival of new plays, parties and workshops.
